Acrylic Roman Fold Shade

Our Roman Fold Shades are created in a Hand-Loomed Acrylic Waterfall Style, whereby the fabric falls in front of the board, and the mechanism is attached on the back. The lifting options available are a manual clutch mechanism (continuous chain), cord lock, or motorized which can be adapted to any home automation.

Mounting options are available for both are walls or ceilings, or for inside of window casements. Small depths require the cord lock mechanism to be mounted on a 1.5”-2.5” board. Larger dust board depths for the clutch mechanism require 2” for a Roman Shade 40” wide x 60” high, and a 2.5” board for one that is 70” wide x 70” high, and so on.

The motorized shade board is 2.5” standard. The motor can use 110V AC, 24V DC, or Li-ion rechargeable batteries, which can be used in any home automation.

We recommend the use of a motor for large-sized Roman Shades, specifically for inside casement mountings. All rings are hand sewn, the bottom rings are either nickel or brass, and all others are clear. Lifting cords are 0.9 mm, with colors matched to the shade itself. Clutch chain color can be white, off white, nickel, or brass. Top-down Roman folds will stack on the bottom, and pulled to the top behind a board that has a small valance. Board width will be similar to the Roman fold. Top-down is operated by cord lock, clutch, or motor. Valances are 5”-7” long, and the bottom folding stack is between 3”-5”, depending on the total height. Colors available are from our string color selection, or can be a custom dyed a color. The warp (vertical) strings or weft (horizontal) yarn fullness determines the visibility and privacy effects of the shade. (Warp is the number of strings per one lineal inch.)

Our Roman Shades are available with warps of D06, D12, or D18. (A D06 warp has 6 strings per lineal inch, D12 has 12 strings per lineal inch, and D18 has 18 strings per lineal inch.)

For more privacy, Roman shades can be lined with either a translucent or blackout lining, which is hand sewn to the folds on the back of the shade.
